Our current focus centres on a 350 square meter of degraded area within the school grounds. This area was once covered in weeds and is now being transformed into an eco lab for preservation, education, research, and leisure.

As a visual testament to our commitment, we adorned a wall with an inspiring piece of art that promotes socio-environmental restoration and envisions a brighter, more sustainable future through acts of care.

Additionally, next to this mural, we've created another captivating work of art dedicated to the world of ants, aiming to provide knowledge about these fascinating creatures and their vital role in the ecosystem.

In front of these artistic creations, you will find our permaculture design garden lab, where we will offer a comprehensive range of educational programs. This vibrant space will serve as our hub for exploring permaculture principles, sustainable agriculture, and various aspects of socio-environmental care.

It's worth noting that some of the trees currently present are non-native to the region and have raised concerns among scientists. For instance, the Espatódea tree, with its alluring orange flowers, contains a substance that is toxic to essential local wildlife, including bees, insects, and hummingbirds.

In line with our commitment to the restoration of the local ecosystem, careful consideration is being given to the removal of certain non-native tree species, aligning our efforts with the protection and sustainability of the Brazilian native trees.
